About Me
Lynn West is a wife, a mother, a woman of faith with a lot of questions, and an author. Be it a childhood family vacation story, a research paper for graduate school, or a script for a leader at a Fortune 500 company, Lynn has had a penchant for writing since she could hold a pen. Lynn graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
She has written two works. The first, The Illusion of a Perfect Life, began as a 600-word blog post and grew to over 85,000 words. From start to finish, the manuscript took on many roles for Lynn: an outlet for creativity, a cathartic exercise, and a distraction when life was heavy.
The second, But God, is a 10-week Bible study created for mothers of children with disabilities. On February 11, 2021, Lynn received life-altering news: her son had Down syndrome. Struggling to connect with other moms who didn’t understand, she sought comfort in building a community with other moms of children with disabilities. In her search for resources, she discovered a lack of tailored Bible studies. Driven by her passion to create a relatable study, she wrote But God, a study offering an inspiring message of faith, resilience, and love. With weekly content ranging from 1,300 – 2,800 words, each week includes a podcast or sermon to listen to, sections of scripture to reflect on, and thought-provoking content and questions to grapple with. Whether you’re a Christian seeking a relatable study or a woman searching for hope in the unexpected, But God offers a meaningful and transformative experience.
